New Traffic Playground at the Ellington!

As part of Portland Bureau of Transportation’s pandemic response, the Safe Routes to School program has installed a temporary no-contact traffic playground at Ellington Apartments. The playground has crosswalks, stop signs, and even a round-about to help children learn the rules of the road away from street traffic. It’s also a great place to build skills for scooting, biking, walking and rolling! The purpose of the playground is to provide more places for children to play and engage while maintaining physical distance.
