Laurelhurst Project Expansion Brings More Affordable Housing

Anna Mann House.png

Plans for the Anna Mann House have expanded to include another building on the spacious Laurelhurst site, with 40 more affordable units at a lower cost per unit to develop. The project was awarded Bond funding last fall to rehabilitate and expand the historic property to create 88 units of affordable housing for families, and especially communities of color and immigrant families.

With this addition, the Anna Mann House will now bring a total of 128 affordable units to the vibrant Laurelhurst neighborhood, including 42 for households with little to no income, 62 family-size units, and 12 permanent supportive housing units for families experiencing homelessness.

Numerous culturally-specific organizations have partnered to provide outreach and resident services for future residents. Supportive services will also be provided on-site through community-based mental health provider, LukeDorf, Inc. and the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO). Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2021.
